In a previous post, I looked at a few causes of micro ring extensions damage. I need to point out firstly that micro ring damage isn’t very common and I recommend the micro ring method to the majority of my clients. In this post I’d like to include an additional reason that you may have damage to your natural hair when having micro ring extensions attached for a month or so:
Micro Ring Damage Due To Lack Of Maintenance:
If you read a lot of my posts on this website, you’ll know that I talk about hair maintenance all the time and how important it is to keeping your hair extensions and your natural hair in top condition. If you allow your hair extensions to become matted or don’t regularly brush your hair, you’ll be putting your natural hair under a lot of stress when you come to brush out the knots.
Use a good quality hair care product to give your hair (and the extensions) the nutrients needed to keep it strong and less breakable. Check out this article on choosing hair care products for hair extensions.
Maintaining your hair will drastically reduce the chances of hair damage. For those that are used to short hair, hair maintenance can seem a major hassle and not worth the trouble. But a few minutes each day and a few extra dollars spent on quality hair care products will be worth your while.

i just got the micro ring extension , when do they start to loosen up. can I oil my scalp to stop the itching
I’ve been using micro ring extensions (easy loop) for a couple of years now. One think I’ve found is that it’s a good idea to give your natural hair a rest every few months from micro ring extensions. This is probably true for all extension types though?
