These terms are not widely used by retailers, they are more commonly used by manufacturers of hair extensions. In other words, if you’re looking to buy a set of extensions online or from your salon, you probably won’t hear them using the terms single or double drawn. But it’s always good to know the difference:
Why Is Double Drawn Hair Better?
- Single Drawn Hair: This type will have differing lengths of hair. So if you had 18″ length hair, some strands will be as short as 16″. Generally the maximum variance is 2″ between hair lengths.
- Double Drawn Hair: This hair is better quality than single drawn hair. Double drawn means all the hairs are exactly the same length.
The difference between these two hair types isn’t really that major. If you get single drawn you can always trim the ends of the strands.
So now you know the difference between these hair types. Why not extend your knowledge and learn about hair extension textures?
